Wallace State duo commits

Wallace State-Hanceville only lost one game this season and it came in the post season to Shelton State. The Lions today had two players make commitments for next season. The Lions finished the season at (32-1).
Cory Cooperwood: (SO) 6-foot-6 (215) from Kensett, AR. Cory went to Northwestern State University (LA) out of high school in the summer of 2006. Cory stayed just the summer at Northwestern State and left for Wallace State.

"Cory is a very high energy kid," said Wallace State-Hanceville Head coach Allen Sharpe.
Cory finished his career for the Lions with 968 points and 500 rebounds. Cooperwood finished the year at 15 ppg and 8 rebounds while shooting 58% (191-329) from the floor.
Cory will take his game to Wright State University in Dayton, OH next season. Murray State and Missouri State also made a strong push for Cooperwood.
Javon Borum: (SO) 6-foot-0 (195) from Suitland, MD. Borum transferred in from NCAA D2 Johnson C Smith in North Carolina. Javon prepped at Massanutten Military in Virginia.
"Javon is a true point guard with a good frame," said Sharpe.
Borum averaged 11 ppg, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 rebounds this season while hitting on 43% (42-96) from three point range.
Borum will head west next season and will play at UC-Riverside. Javon visited UC-Riverside a few weeks back. He also received attention from Southeast Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe and Southeast Missouri State as well.
