Warrior making strides

Some players make great strides after leaving former NCAA Division One programs and reinvent there selves when they go off to junior college. One player has just done that in the Midwest. Chris Evans is currently averaging 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 65 percent (81-124) from the floor this season for the Wabash Valley College Warriors in Mount Carmel, I.L. The Warriors are currently 12-2 on the season under legendary head coach Dan Sparks.

The 6-foot-7-inch forward from Chesapeake, V.A. played last season at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
Evans averaged 3.3 points per game in 25 games last season for the 28-7 Chants. Evans graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, V.A.
Evans recruitment has really taken off this season according to Warriors Assistant Coach Zach Carpenter.
Indiana, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Iowa State, Colorado, Boise State, Missouri State, Murray State, Bradley, IPFW, Tennessee Tech and St Bonaventure this season according to Carpenter.
Evans a small forward is shooting 45 percent (10-22) from 3-point range. Evans ranks No.17 in the JucoJunction Top 150 this season. The Warriors added a new player to the mix for next season in Monty Wilson who transferred in from nearby Vincennes University. Wilson has one season to play for the Warriors starting next fall.
