Warriors are Hutch bound

The Wabash Valley College Warriors are headed to Hutchinson after defeating Lake Land College 87-72 in Region 24 at Rend Lake College in Ina, I.L.

The Warriors were led in scoring by Region 24 Player of the Year and Kent State commitment Chris Evans with 24 points. Ian Chiles a freshman combo guard from Louisville,KY scored 14 points. Chiles is an academic qualifier and can leave with three years left to play.
Coach Sparks is currently in his 5th season with the Warriors in Mount Carmel, I.L. Sparks previously coached 26 years at nearby Vincennes University. The Warriors will be making their first appearance at the NJCAA National Tourney since 2002 when they won it all under then head coach Jay Spoonhour.
