Warriors keep rolling

Legendary coach Dan Sparks made the move south from Vincennes University to Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, I.L. The longtime junior college basketball coach has his Warriors playing really good basketball and currently are 10-0 and ranked No.6 in the latest NJCAA poll. Chris Evans played last season at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.

The forward from Chesapeake, V.A. is currently averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this season while shooting a blistering 73 percent (56-77) from the floor.

"Chris is a bigtime athlete with great bounce. He's very quick for his size and will come out of nowhere to block shots," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. Evans is currently ranked No. 17 in the 2011 JucoJunction Top 150.

D'Mitri Riggs relocated from Highland Community College in Freeport, I.L. to Mount Carmel, I.L. this fall.

The Bloomington, I.L. native is currently averaging 17.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this season for the undefeated Warriors.

"D'Mitri is a left-handed combo guard who likes to catch-shoot from 3 point range," said Swanson. Riggs is currently ranked No. 63 in the JucoJunction Top 150 this season.
