Warriors led by freshman

The Wabash Valley College Warriors had a rough weekend recently and dropped two games to Mineral Area College and Three Rivers Community College. Jonathan Octeus might have a chance to leave the Warriors after this season. The Miramar, Fla. native redshirted last year at Garden City Community College in Kansas and if he can graduate this spring he will have three years to play at the next level.

Octeus is currently averaging 15.5 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this season for the 6-2 Warriors. "Jonathan is a big-time athlete and his motor never turns off when he's on the floor playing," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Nick Wiggins is ranked No. 4 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150. The transfer from Vincennes University is the son of former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins.
Wiggins is averaging 14.2 points per game this season for the Warriors which is currently second on the squad. The Warriors are located in Mount Carmel, Ill. and coached by longtime junior college Head Coach Dan Sparks.
