Western Texas prospect decides

Derek Williams of Western Texas has decided to stay in the Lone Star State next season and play for the SMU Mustangs of Conference USA according to Western Texas College Head coach Mark Berger.
"Derek really liked the new facility that just opened on the SMU campus and playing in Conference USA," said Berger.

Williams averaged 19.1 ppg this season for (18-11) Westerners.
"Coach Steve Lutz did a great job recruiting Derek and I don't no if there are many better closers than SMU Head coach Matt Doherty," said Berger.
Williams carries a 3.2 GPA in the classroom and also received strong interest from LaSalle and Santa Clara.
