With the recent coaching change at Texas Southern University one player has received a release from his scholarship according to his junior college coach. South Mountain College Head Coach Dan Nichols informed JucoJunction today that Mike Craig is looking elsewhere to play this season after the recent coaching change at Texas Southern University.

Craig averaged 22.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 3.3 steals last season for the Cougars. South Mountain College is located in Phoenix, Ariz.

The Cougars finished the season at 26-9 and made a trip to the NJCAA D2 National Tourney in Danville, Ill.

Craig started his college at Arizona Western College as a freshman. Nichols informed JucoJunction today that Texas Tech University and the University of Oregon have contacted Craig after receiving his release.

Craig was ranked No. 112 in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.
