Wilkins leaves CSI

Travis Wilkins played this summer at a junior college summer camp and decided it would be best to transfer out of his former situation at USC-Salkehatchie. Wilkins started this fall at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, ID. Wilkins recently left the school according to College Of Southern Idaho Head Coach Steve Gosar.

"Travis recntly left the program at CSI and returned back to the state of South Carolina," said Gosar.

JucoJunction caught up with Wilkins former head coach Travis Garrett at USC-Salkehatchie and he has confirmed that Wilkins is back in the Walterboro, SC area and will enroll in classes again at USC-Salkehatchie this coming January 2010.

Wilkins will basically lose this season of eligibility and play next season for USC-Salkehatchie.

"Travis has a young child and he wanted to be back closer to home near his daughter," said Garrett.
