Wilkins signs with three to play

Travis Wilkins is not playing this season in junior college basketball. Wilkins wasn't included recently in the JucoJunction Top 150 because he is currently enrolled at Denmark Tech College in Denmark, SC just taking classes while trying to graduate this spring. Yesterday Wilkins decided to sign with a Division One program and will have three years left to play at the four year level starting next fall. JucoJunction has the latest on where Wilkins will be suiting up next fall in this article.
"Travis Wilkins signed today with Coastal Carolina University," said Coastal Carolina associate head coach Don Hogan.

Wilkins, originally from Spartanburg, SC, played his freshman season last year at USC-Salkehatchie in Walterboro, SC. Wilkins only played the spring semester last year while averaging 11 ppg for USC-Salkehatchie. This past summer Wilkins transferred to College of Southern Idaho but left this past September before ever suiting up for the Golden Eagles.
"Travis is a big-time athlete who can really run the floor the alter shots. Travis a great get for Coastal Carolina University and to have for three years is even more exciting for the Chants," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
