Demerius Smith won't have to travel far to play next season but just down the road to Chicago State University and head coach Tracy Dildy. Smith averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3 rebounds per game this season for the 17-13 Statesmen.

The Alexandria, L.A. native started his career at Bossier Parish Community College in 2008-2009. Smith averaged 13.1 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while at BPCC. Smith shot a remarkable 47.7 percent (96-201) from 3-point range.
